To answer your question correctly we need to refer to US Code 40, Part 65, Section 65.15, Certificate Duration.
(a) Any certificate or rights issued under this section, other than the certificate of treatment, shall remain in force until revoked, suspended or revoked.
As the law of five says, A&P certificates are good for everyone. Weaver and A&P, who have inspection licenses (IAs) like me, now have to renew every weird year in accordance with section 65.93 of section 65.
To be eligible for an extension of the inspection permit for a period of 2 years, the applicant must prove at the FAA District Air Traffic Control Office or International Office in March of each year that the applicant is still 65, 91. Meets the requirements of (c). (1) to (4) Completion In addition, during the period in which the applicant has obtained the inspection license, the applicant must have completed the second year inspection license by March 31 of the first year and the second year of the second year.
