Definition of No contest:
Plea in a criminal case that the accused will not contest the facts on which the charge is based. Though it is comparable to a plea of guilt in authorizing a court to punish the accused, it does not constitute an admission of guilt and is generally aimed at preventing lawsuits that may arise from admission. Also called nolo contendere.
